Ristorante Pizzeria PucciVia Amendola, 4, 51017 Pescia (Pistoia) |
In 1950 the American Allies had not long left Tuscany's countryside villages and towns, to gradually get back to the hard work of getting over the war.
The Pucci family had worked in the catering industry for many years, delighting pallets at Giulio's in Florence with sorbets and icecream, and at the Osteria or Inn in Pescia, Capanne. It was really in the 1950s that they moved to the heart of the town, when they began a generation of restaurants handed down from Luana Pucci and Alfio Pace, followed by the chef Alessandro and his multi talented brother Fluvio.
The Pucci Trattoria really resembles a bottega or shop rather than a restaurant, with its family atmosphere, the knowledgeable rapport with its customers, confident recommendations of the dishes and Alessandro's culinary inventions, that he continues to study and create without forgetting the traditions that proceeded them.
We could talk about the menu and offer you a recipe, but it would be wrong, because we would deprive you of the opportunity to sit down at one of our tables. So we invite you only take the road that leads to Pescia or rather follow the others already on their way.
Pescia is near Collodi the town of Pinocchio and also Montecatini an important town for shopping and spas.
