The Restaurant “Lago Lo Specchio” in Pistoia, is one of the most well known “trattoria” or taverns in the area.
Lago Lo Speechio is in Spedaletto, an old village in the Pistoian mountains at just 15km from the Pistoia and 15km from the Terme di Porretta famous for the extraordinary spring waters.

The building is immersed in the green of the Tosco-Emiliano Apennines, the mountains which border Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, it is also a great place to have a picnic.
It's been in existence for 100 years and for 100 years it's been managed by the same family, a tradition that is synonymous with quality and professionalism.

It is nice to stop for lunch either on the internal terrace with views of the lake or at the tables which are situated by the lake’s shore.
Either way traditional home-style Tuscan cookery with a special touch is waiting to be tasted: ravioli di ricotta e ortica (ravioli filled pasta with ricotta and nettle), maccheroncini pistoiesi al capriolo Little Macceheroni cooked in the Pistoian style, Fiorentina alla griglia grilled Florentine steak, cinghiale in umido wild boar stew. Not to mention the desserts “torta ricotta e cioccolato” cake with ricotta cheese and chocolate or ricotta and figs.

It is open for lunch and supper from April to October.
During the winter it is only open on Saturday and Sunday at lunch and supper (during the week with reservations only).
