La Clessidra represents a well established tradition, set amongst the culinary landscape of Pisa. In March 2010 the restaurant moved to it's new location in Via del Castelletto, 26 (previously Cagliostro) to offer you a setting in the round, for dinner, an after dinner venue, parties, special events, or gastronomic tasting evenings.
Chef Giuseppe D’Angelo trained at the renowned culinary school of Sergio Lorenzi and then at the Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, has bought together imaginative and
selective cookery, looking for the latest creations, whilst respecting the intense and flavours found in historical Tuscany.
In addition to the carefully selected menu, there are dishes of the day which vary depending on what's on offer at the market, and the choice of 2 tasting menus.
The knowledge of Daniele the Sommelier, gives you the possibility to chose the most suitable accompaniment for an
excellent food/wine pairing.
Indeed, La Clessidra has over 200 selected labels and a cellar well stocked with quality vintages.
What's more the restaurant offers a
unique service: when you open a bottle you can finish it at home. If after a party or meal there is wine left over, we will seal it and you can take it home to finish and enjoy it in your own time.
The newest addition to the La Clessidra is the renovated after-dinner venue. Giuseppe and Daniele look forward to welcoming you after 22,30 in the bar or garden for an exclusive evening with tastings of cheese and selected salami, or to try a delicious dessert.
