Crossing the mountains of Pistoia, at an altitude of 800mts amongst chestnuts, pines and breathtaking views, you reach Goraiolo.
Fifty years ago, the locals would go to the Bottega of Isacco (Isacco's shop), or Zacco as they would pronounce it, to have a snack or to buy typical foods of the mountains. Today the same shop has been renamed, the “Locanda Zacco”, and it’s a characteristic place that even after 50 years continues to provide a taste of all the ingredients that Tuscany has to offer, all prepared in a kitchen where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.

The family run restaurant is made up of a main dining room and veranda, heated by an inviting stove in the winter capable of seating 60 people. In the summer, the garden means that our dishes can be tried amongst the natural tranquillity of the mountains in a unique and atmospheric environment.
The Locanda’s menu changes every week, following the changes that nature offers, depending on the season. Without ever, of course, excluding Tuscan cookery.

Besides offering a large selection of cold cuts and cheeses, our starters offer a selection of hot dishes with cheese melted in the oven, and served with fruit, vegetables and cold meats.
Our speciality is home-made pastas, from tortelli stuffed with seasonal fillings that depend on the time of year (chestnuts, pumpkin, Porcini mushrooms etc) moving onto the Spaghetti, maccheroni and tagliolini without forgetting risotto or soups in the winter time.

In Tuscany you can't leave out the meats, “Manzo all'Apina” beef cooked with Chianti wine, Roast pork, and Roasted Ham are just some our dishes on offer.
We also include fish dishes prepared in our delicate and simple style of cookery.
